Beware of Digitalisation: A Barrier in your Peaceful Life
No doubt we complicate life, but with tiny steps, we can return to our simple times, especially peaceful times.
On a Sunday evening, I was sitting with my friend and enjoying a long conversation with him. I think after a long time, we got a chance to sit together and relax. Then, we started analyzing our reasons why we do not feel that peace in our life now that we used to feel in our early years.
Eventually, after struggling with our numerous logical excuses, we finally had jotted down a few things that were truly responsible for snatching away our peace from our lives. So, here, in this article, I want to bring those reasons to the surface so that we all get conscious of those reasons, and take benefits from the conclusion too. I am pretty sure that you are already aware of those reasons but let’s discuss them here once.
Myth Or False Excuse:
We are too busy with our work that we do not get time to meet our near dear ones or we have no time for our health.
Let’s be practical here, if we spend 8–9 hours in our workplace, then still we left with plenty of hours in our day to nurture our personal life.
Nowadays, we have so many distractions in our life that we do not even realize that we are just stalking other people’s life by ignoring our own life. We know that if we start scrolling down any social media site or page, at least 20–30 minutes are invested in that stalking. Now, the majority of us are having so many applications on our mobile like Instagram, Linked In, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Whatsapp, Youtube, and many more, Right?
If we spend at least 20 minutes every day on each of these applications, (this is the minimum time I am taking into account) then after calculation it has been proved that in a day, we spend at least 2–3 hours (these are the minimum hours), only by stalking other people’s achievements (fake or real ). And, what do you think, by stalking other people’s lives, how can we activate our creative minds to achieve what we actually want in our life?
Trust me, friends, try to give it a shot. Just for a day or two, try to live your life without mobile and tabs (and other distractions too), and witness your creative side and positive side.
In previous times, we had no such options for distractions, We simply spent most of our time with our friends and family members and experienced that peace within us. I am not commanding you here to say goodbye to your devices. No, I know that those applications are required nowadays, but we can at least try to minimize their usage time, and once in a while, we can spend our full day without even looking at those devices. I just want you all to try it out once and see the miracles.
