Enjoy Solitude: Meet yourself
A few years ago, I was not aware of the concept of conscious living, whenever I was left alone, I easily got bored. I always complained about loneliness, whenever my parents left me alone at home, or when I was traveling to some places during my higher studies. I was not satisfied at all, not even happy with myself. I was not aware of the miraculous possibilities of being alone. But, I always heard of the fact that when a person learns to be alone, he/she already won half the battle. But I did not get this fact.
Then, as time passed, I grew up emotionally. With time, I learned how to take charge of myself. I realized I should not be dependent on any other person, situation, or place for my state of mind or happiness.
And, now, is the time, when I always prefer to get my solo time even when I am totally occupied with my duties. I found myself.
I will share one of my experiences here. A few years ago, I was totally occupied for the 3–4 months with my personal as well as professional duties. I forgot the beautiful experience of my solo time. I was feeling irritated and was unable to manage my tasks on time. I went for the track with my husband in the mountains to get my time. But I was disappointed. I did not feel relaxed at all. Then, one day, for a night, I was alone at my home, and I did not do any household chores. I had even taken a half-day off from my work. You know, that evening, after struggling for a few hours with my thoughts, I find myself at a place where I feel myself in deep relaxation mode. I was not lonely, but, I was in solitude. The moment, I started to enjoy that solitude, I finished my hours of pending tasks within a few minutes. Those pending works were troubling me for more than a month. So, the gist here is, that we all should take some time for ourselves from our busy schedules to get back on track with good levels of energy.
I am not saying here that we should run away from our duties, Honestly, we should fulfill our tasks but at the same time, this is our life, we should take some time for ourselves, some solo time, it can be a day, week or whatever suits us best. For me, a few hours on daily basis is enough to get myself on track and to get my energy levels at their best.
The fact is when we are able to spend some time with ourselves, only then we can spend our time with our loved ones. So, Spend time with yourself.
